Abraham’s 62-year-old father, Dolapo Badru, represents Lagos Island I at the House of Representatives on the platform of All Progressives Congress. Abraham Badru, who was given a police bravery award as a teenager for saving a woman from a sex attack, was gunned down in the street in Dalston, Hackney, just after 11pm on Sunday. Abraham, who worked as a football coach after earning his Masters degree in sports coaching from the University of Gloucestershire in 2015, was found slumped on the pavement by police called to reports of a loud gunshot. He was pronounced dead a short time later. His mother, who had rushed to his side, was seen by witnesses collapsed in tears on the pavement. Abraham’s father told the Standard that his “quiet and hard-working” son once saved a young woman from rape on the estate and later gave evidence which led to her attacker being jailed. He said: “A few years ago, a girl was raped on the estate and Abraham fought them off. He went to court to testify against them and the police gave him an award.” Friends paid tribute to Abraham as a “bubbly and outgoing” young man who was “making a life for himself” after completing his studies. They said he had a fiancee in Nigeria and had volunteered with the Team Nigeria UK football coaching charity, and had been due to coach at an open trial in Charlton on Tuesday (today). A volunteer said: “He’s such a wonderful guy full of life and very hard-working.” Abraham had previously worked with Bristol council as a sport development officer, according to his LinkedIn profile and had interned at non-league Gloucester City FC during his degree studies at the University of Gloucestershire. In a statement, his former club Almondsbury FC, near Bristol, said: “The club are shocked and saddened to hear of the passing of former striker Abraham Badru. “We would like to send our thoughts and prayers to Abraham’s family during this difficult time.” Neighbors said Abraham had been to church earlier that day and was getting out of his car when he was shot. One neighbor said: “As soon as I heard the bang, I knew it was a gunshot. I went to my balcony and saw a man slumped over on the ground at the back of a car." “There was just one shot and a cry of pain. No speeding scooter and no speeding car.” Another said: “His mother came out and saw him on the floor. It was terrible listening to her collapse crying on the floor. She was just screaming." “Everyone was very upset and I had to go away, I couldn’t take it. It happened on our doorstep and I had to say a little prayer for the family.” A school friend added: “He had just finished studying for his Masters in sports at university. He was a bubbly guy and worked so hard. We went to the same church as kids." “His mother is a devout Christian. I’m lost for words. I just cannot believe it. He was the nicest guy, very happy and outgoing.” A police cordon remained in place on Ferncliff Road this morning as detectives continued to investigate the shooting. Abraham’s mother was being supported by family members at the home around 100 yards away. The family was too upset to speak this morning. A neighbor said: “They are a lovely, church-going, and loving family. Everyone is stunned this could happen to Abraham." “He was a gentle, respectful young man and I pray for his family that are in pain right now.” The murder is the third in Hackney this year and comes as 19 young men under the age of 25 have been killed in the capital in 2018. Detective Chief Inspector Larry Smith, from Scotland Yard’s murder squad, said: “We are appealing for information so we can establish the circumstances which led to a young man losing his life. “Anyone with information who hasn’t yet spoken with us should come forward without delay. Your call will be treated in the strictest confidence.” There have been no arrests.

Mr Ibrahim Yusuf, her relative who confirmed the incident to PRNigeria said Fatima was kidnapped on Friday when she entered a tricycle in front of First Bank where she had gone to deposit some cash.
"She boarded a commercial tricycle popularly called Keke NAPEP to Baga Road, but unknown to her, one of the men in the tricycle brought out a white handkerchief and pretended as though he was having a cough.
"As soon as he touched her face with the handkerchief, she passed out, only to find herself dumped at the Railway Bayan Quarters area, bathed with a substance suspected to be acid around 1 pm.
"It's sad that an innocent young lady like Fatima, who is already in her final year at the university and looked forward to a brighter future could be subjected to such cruel and inhumane treatment by criminal-minded Keke NAPEP operators in the state," Yusuf said.
The UMTH Chairman of the Medical Advisory Committee(CMAC), Bashir Tahir said Fatima is recuperating.
Tahir said that medical team was still conducting relevant examinations on her to determine whether she would undergo surgical operations.

"President Buhari is completely conscious of his obligation under the constitution to ensure all Nigerians, regardless of faith, ethnic foundation or geopolitical location and won't evade this responsibility.
"The President is similarly aware of the way that genuine supporters of Islam everywhere throughout the world regard the injunction that there is no compulsion in religion.

Some students of Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, engaged in a free for all fight with officials of security outfit of the institution who tried to forcefully eject them from one of the female hostels, Moremi Hall, on Wednesday evening.
It was gathered that the management of the university had directed the security operatives to go and eject students who were still in school and occupying rooms in the hostels, despite the fact that the institution is on holiday.
But it was gathered that effort of some officials of the security outfit to carry out the instruction was met with stiff resistance at the hall of residence by some students who opposed the forceful removal.
According to a source, this led to a clash and free for all fight between the students and officials of the security outfit.
It was gathered that the clash led to the arrest of some of the students who were arraigned in court on Thursday.
Speaking with Sahara Reporters, Adeyeye Olorunfemi, a student of the institution said, “The students forcefully evicted are those who are currently doing their SIWES and final year students who are still completing their clearance”
“Some students resisted these and they were arrested yesterday. These students slept at the Moore Police station and this morning they were charged to court located at Ajebamidele”
Confirming the incident, the school Public Relation Officer, Mr. Abiodun Olarenwaju said that student tenancy in the halls of residence came to an end the moment the session end.
According to him, the school had closed for the session since February, but the students have refused to go home.
He said, “We are not forcefully ejecting the students. They are illegal occupant. They paid for a session and they must leave so the university management can do the needful. That is to clean, repair and fumigate the halls of residence. The students are to vacate their residence after examination. The session has ended and they must leave. At least one half month
Mr. Olarenwaju also confirmed the arrest of student saying they were taken in for questioning to ascertain whether they are student or not.

An army commander in the northeast has been captured on camera helping out one of the Dapchi girls released by Boko Haram.
Following the release of over 100 abducted Dapchi girls an army commander has been spotted helping the girls.
In a quite emotional shot, the Commander of Operation Lafiya Dole, Maj.-Gen. Rogers Nicholas was spotted carrying one of the abducted Dapchi schoolgirls who were released by Boko Haram terrorists during official hand over by the Nigeria Army in Maiduguri on Wednesday.
One of the Dapchi schoolgirls freed by Boko Haram on Wednesday, Khadija Grema, provided a detailed account of their journey after Boko Haram insurgents abducted them on February 19.
About 110 girls were kidnapped from their secondary school in Dapchi, Yobe State.
A total of 105 of them were freed on Wednesday morning by the insurgents who dropped them off in Dapchi without any resistant or confrontation by soldiers.
Clad in hijab (overall gown) that was uniformly sewn for all the girls by the Boko Haram, she said their journey to captivity was a harrowing experience that caused the death of some of her school mates.
“We were at the school, about to break our usual Monday voluntary fast, when the gunmen arrived. “Everyone was confused and people were screaming; one of them said we should come close to him.
“They were shooting and everyone was confused. So we ran towards the school gate,” she said in Dapchi on Wednesday.
“When we got there, they called on one Babangida to bring vehicles. “They brought the vehicles and began to drive us away. Outside Dapchi, they asked that who amongst us were fasting.
“And some of us that were fasting were asked to come down from the vehicle. They gave us Maltina, meat, groundnut cake and pure water.
“We had our prayers after breaking the fast. “Then we continued our journey until we got to a place with a big tree, they stopped and we were asked to cook food, it was dark, so they put on lamps.
“After eating, then we continued the journey for a long time until we got to a place where there is river, we came down from the trucks and they asked us to enter some canoes that took us across the river.
“Across the river, they took us to a house in one village that I don’t know; we stayed there for sometime.
“The next day, they came to ask us to come out and we were taken to the river and continued the journey until we got to where a thick forest area.
“That was where they kept us; and they have not changed our location since then. “They have been feeding us very well, they treated us very well. They did not beat us; they did not molest us.
“The people that took us away were all speaking Kanuri and Arabic. “They didn’t tell us any meaningful reason why we were freed and returned.
“They just said we are Muslims and they felt it was right for them to free us so that we will not suffer.” She said some of the girls, apparently the very young ones, who were trampled upon while they were packed in the vehicles that took them out of Dapchi, died on the way.
“Five girls died while we were on the way to the bush; most of them died because they were trampled upon inside the vehicles,” Khadija said.
She added that their abductors did not molest them sexually. “They did not molest or sexually harass us,” she said. “They even said it was wrong for women and men to sit in the same place.”

Nigerians are the most hilarious set of people in the planet earth as we see amazing things day by day from these set of people.
Before our government turn our country to animal kingdom, this young man has decided to train his dog to join the league of animals swallowing money.
A snake swallowed millions of naira in Nigeria, and days later a senator accused a monkey of running away with huge amount, it seems this dog is the next animal to swallow money.
The owner uploaded the photo above on facebook and wrote:
